Janae Paquin-Bowden - designer, ceramicist, illustrator and flower farmer

Pottery and homewares, made by a flower farmer.

I'm Janae — a ceramicist and flower farmer in Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges. After more than ten years growing flowers, I now make pieces designed around them. My vases are made with sustainable floristry in mind: their shape lets flowers rest and overflow naturally over the rim, so there's no need for floral foam. Every piece is hand-built in my studio, made slowly, one at a time.

The next Vase Drop is in the kiln right now. Photos coming this week — drop opens Tuesday 16 June, 8am AEST.

Clay & Petals: Pottery & Floral Retreat Toulouse, France 1–6 June 2027

Join me for a refined creative retreat set on a beautiful estate near Toulouse, built around the two things I love most — pottery and flowers. Across the week you'll learn to create one of my signature vases, shaping, decorating and glazing your own piece, and work with seasonal blooms to create vase arrangements, and explore the local antique markets all balanced with long lunches, relaxing by the pool and more curated cultural moments.

Limited to just 12 guests. Your meals, wine, your experiences, is all included, so you can fully relax and soak up the magic of your retreat.
